Love Cruis'n Posted October 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Looking for some Venice guidance – please… The cruise we are about ready to book ends in Venice. We would like to spend a day in Venice and then fly home. Here is our question: Do any of the hotels offer transfers to the airport. I don’t think my wife and I can manage our luggage via the vaporetto. And it appears that water taxis are very costly – so we are seeking options. Any thoughts? Love Cruis'n Posted October 21, 2009 Author #2 Share Posted October 21, 2009 Let me try another direction. Can anyone tell me if it is easy to get a land based taxi at the Piazzale Roma? If so, I would imagine that we could easily (and affordably) get to the airport. Yes???
euro cruiser Posted October 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2009 Yes, it is easy to get a taxi at Piazzale Roma to go to the airport. If you do a search on this board, you can find specific information on the left luggage office at Piazzale Roma - it might make your visit easier if you only take what you need for the night to your hotel and pick the rest up the next day before heading to the airport. SusaninCali Posted October 27, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2009 You can take the Alilaguna water bus to the airport. They have several lines running, including Lineo Oro (gold line) which is an express (costs more) to the airport. I think it was 13 euro pp, including luggage on the Blue or Red Line.
