On Board Credit

If I have a onboard credit of $450.00, can it be used on anything, even cash advances in the casino?

The onboard credit is added to your account. For some reason, it does not show up right away, it took a few days for us.

I believe if you go to the cashier in the casino and get cash from them for the slots and that is taken from (or added onto) your account.

The credit goes towards anything you spend while on the ship, souvenirs, drinks, specialty restaurants, spa services etc.

Do you really want to use it for casino money or are you just trying to get cash back from the credit? Last year I had extra OBC at the end of the cruise and they just gave it to me in the form of a credit card credit.

I just thought that I might be able to get cash with it on board in the casino.

 

But mostly I wanted to know if I could use it for drink packages, excursions.

You can use it for all your purchases, gratuities, drink plans, etc. If there is left over you can take it out at a slot machine or if you go to the cage pay 3% charge.

Yes, that's the idea of onboard credit (OBC). If you have none, you would simply be paying the balance owed for all those extras like excursions and drink cards. OBC is like having a portion (or even the entire amount, if you;re frugal) of that already paid.

most OBC's are just a credit to your account...so essentially the first $450 you spend is a wash

And if any is left over, you will not lose it. It will just be a credit on your credit card account.
