1 way car rental from hobby to galveston

From what I've been reading Enterprise is the only rental car place in Galveston. I've also been reading about how SOME have been charged a one way drop off fee of $100.00.

 

So my questions are...

 

Have to been charged an additional one way drop fee?

 

How did you book? Through the mine Enterprise number or directly with the office in Galveston?

 

I'm trying to see if it makes a difference which may you book.

 

Has anyone rented a van?

I'm anxious to hear the answer to this, too...we've always rented a van for the whole week, and parked at Galvez. This time, we're staying at the Hilton, and the cheapest van we can find is still close to $500 for the week. Frustrating!

Curious if anyone ever had any success finding a rental place in Galveston that had one way van rentals to seat 8 persons. The van rental for a week from home will end up costing as much as the cruise it self. Help...:eek:
