travelingtriumphess Posted October 23, 2009 #26 Share Posted October 23, 2009 I'm a first time cruiser, but from what I've heard, many people don't wear formal attire on Carnival. Marshall's is a great place to shop. I've found lovely little formal dresses for under 10 dollars. Much cheaper than renting. Just keep your left eye out and don't stress because vacations are not about stress.
travelingtriumphess Posted October 23, 2009 #27 Share Posted October 23, 2009 My G/F is wondering if she can rent a formal outfit on board. She doesn't wanna spend a ton of $$$ on something "I won't wear all that much" I would pay for it myself, but I'm springing for the price of the cruise. ;) Second thought: More on a girlfriend/boyfriend (psychological ) perspective of this. Your girl friend may want you to do this for her and she is hinting at it. Girl friends can be very different from wives; she may be subtley asking you to help her do the shopping.
