I don't know! When we visited his year at Easter, I emailed a couple of jewellery stores in Philsburgh that I wanted to return to and they told me they were closed, this was Good Friday. The stores at port would be open I'm sure. We got lucky though, the Captain kindly swopped our days around so docked on the Sat instead, and I got my big jewellery shopping day afterall!!!

Does anyone knows if it's business as usual on dec. 26th in St.Maarten ? Do all stores are opened ?

December 26th, Boxing Day, is an official Public Holiday on St. Maarten, and Government Regulations control.

Luckily for you, Public Holidays are an optional closing for most businesses (they have to pay their employees extra if the work those days) as opposed to Official Holidays, like Easter, Good Friday, Christmas, etc., where there is a mandatory closing with limited exceptions. Exceptions include shops at the Cruise Facility, Airport and Resorts.
