going on my honeymoon on 9 night cruise of bermuda and carribean leaving new york and wondering apart from valid uk passport for me and irish for gf do we need any other visa while on cruise. we know we need to complete form to get into usa which is valid for 2 yrs

You need to fill in an ESTA form which can be done online. Go the the USA Embassy site. There are lots of web site doing this form for a fee but you should not pay. The US site does it free and will give you all the information you need.

thank you for that but i was thinking more visa requirments for islands visited during cruise

 

We are on our 3rd cruise in Caribbean in a few weeks time. Never had to have anything visa/Esta for any of the island visited. Sometimes they ask you have your passport to show at dock entrances mostly you just show your ships pass. We take a photocopy of our passports as you don't want to carry the real thing around. Immigration at the islands normally board the ship and go through the passanger lists as a formality but you are not called to be present and can go ashore whenever you wish to.

 

Make sure you both have the Bio-metric passports - you know if you have this at it has chevrons and I think you have to have at least 6 months left after your return date.

just wondering do you live in beaumont, dublin? make sure your ESTA is done 72hours before your due to depart to the US. they are beginning to turn people away at emmigration now. once its done its valid for a while
