Another price drop!

Some of ya'll remember I had a price drop on my 9A (now 9C) and was so excited... $30/pp. Well, I had problems getting the early saver claim form submitted; TA told me I could do it, then Carnival e-mailed me saying the TA had to do it, then the TA put in my e-mail address instead of theirs so Carnival e-mailed me AGAIN saying it was still wrong...

 

Anyway, I FINALLY got a hold of someone with the TA that knew what he was doing. He called Carnival again to verify the price drop, and imagine my surprise when he came back saying it's now $189/pp cheaper than when I booked! Moral: it pays to check, check, check for price drops and be persistent if things aren't done as they should be.

 

Needless to say, I'm ecstatic! :D

I keep hoping for a drop, but since we booked 2 months ago it has gone up $120 a person! I guess I don't have ANY hope of getting some onboard credit since the cabins are filling up even at the higher price.

It is nice to know that the price drops do happen...even for 9A's. We have never seen a price drop on any of our extended afts or aft wraps :rolleyes:.

Wonder what caused the drop :confused:. Price drops usually happen when they are having trouble selling a particular category. There are so few aft wraps - I would never have though selling them would be a problem :cool:
