We will be in Colon Panama February 3rd 2010. What do you think about the tour through the canal? Or are there other, less expensive, tours that may be more interesting. We have gone through locks etc. before.

I would suggest a tour to one of the Embra villages. I haven't used My Friend Mario, but he does offer this tour, and it will be less expensive than a ship's tour. Private tours are usually more personal with more interaction. You can request a river transfer to the village or add a location to view wildlife & nature.
