Day at Beach for a Group

We have a group of 18 interested in a day at the beach, (food would be nice, drinks are a must). We will be stopping at Cabo, Mazatlan, and PV. Considering the size of our group and the transportation issues, any suggestions on a beach?

Considering what you're looking for, I'd say Medano Beach in Cabo should be great for your group. No transportation issues since you can walk to it from the port or even take a water taxi. There are many shops/bars/restaurants along the marina as you walk past on your way to the beach. You can rent lounge chairs on the beach and they have food and drink service so your feet never leave the sand. There's also a wide variety of water activities such as jet ski rentals, parasailing, banana boat, water taxis to the arch and Lover's Beach, just to name a few. Great atmosphere.

Agree with this poster. We spent a week in Cabo in June and are very familiar with Medano Beach. There are various restaurant/bars. Some have a high intensity party atmosphere (e.g., Mango Deck) while others are more low key. Beach is swimmable and there are various rentals (e.g., kayaks, banana boats, sea-dos). Chairs aren't rented; you can stay there all day if you order drinks, food, etc.

Water taxis are widely available for transport, although regular taxis and even walking are options.

Wikimapia has a great overhead view of Cabo and you can get a sense of where Medano Beach is in relation to the tender dock.
