croozer10 Posted November 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2009 We will be in Sydney for 5 days pre-cruise at the end of Jan and then cruising starting 3 Feb to New Zealand. I believe the weather usually is in the 70's but wonder about the humidity etc. For shore excursions and pre-cruise and post-cruise stay in Auckland would shorts or capris be appropriate? Billy and Charlie's Mum Posted November 2, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2009 If you are going to the south island in NZ take some jeans and a jacket. The weather can turn at the drop of a hat. We were over there in February and whilst the north island was lovely and warm the south island took us by surprise and we had to go out and buy all winter clothes as we had only taken summer clothes. Australia will be hot and humid. February is traditionally one of our hot months so be prepared.
room010 Posted November 3, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Temps are likely to be much higher than 70deg in Feb which is statistically the hottest month Down Under when 80s and 90s are normal with occasional 100+. It will also be quite humid so bring lightweight "tropical" clothing and also a rain jacket just in case.
