Cindyrella Posted January 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2005 Will be booking Rhapsody (I'm pretty sure) this weekend and I've read quite a few posts where Grand Cayman was missed and another port substituted. What are the chances of this happening? I'm choosing this ship because of the itinerary, especially Grand Cayman. Crusing last week of March. jezzdogg Posted January 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2005 Grand Cayman is a tender port, and with high winds and choppy waters can be missed. Last year it seemed between Feb. and May sometime about 50% of the cruise ships had to divert from this port. Know it happenned to friends of ours
xujuice Posted January 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2005 We are going on the Mariner on October 23,2005, we received from our travel agent an itinerary change. We will be going to CocoCay instead of Labadee and Costa Maya instead of Jamaica.

hstrybuf Posted January 8, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2005 Even though GC is on your itinerary you still may not be able to tender in to the port. We've sailed three times with scheduled stops at GC and only been able to make it once. If you make it, have fun! If not, blame Mother Nature.
