misspupule Posted November 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2009 we are on a greek isle cruise oct 2010 with norwegian gem and our first stop is split croatia fro 8am to 4pm. any ideas from cruise critic cruisers that have stopped their?:) we probably wanna walk around the town but have heard that there is a town of trogir to go to. is it an island and can we take a city bus there? is better to find a taxi and just have them take us around the town and anything on the outskirts of split? what is the cost of like a 3 or 4 hour private taxi tour? euros or croatian dollars? thanks for any info and ideas for us:p Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The bus ride should take approx. 40 minutes. There are taxis nearby also, I don't know the price but I'm sure you can negotiate about the price. If you decide to take a taxi, there are ruins of Ancient Salona about half way on your trip to Trogir. So you can stop for visit there too. Our currency is Croatian Kuna (HRK) and excange rate in this moment is 1USD = 5HRK. There are ATM's everywhere. If you decide to stay in Split, you can take a walk to the Bacvice beach and have a nice lunch or drink after your tour inside the old town (palace).
