coka Posted November 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2009 Hi Eddeb, I looked through all the pictures! Wow! Thank you for sharing them. It was very easy to do as your directions worked. I put in a fake email and it worked so thanks for the tip. You know, there was a thread stating why people love NCL. Your pictures demonstrate probably the number one reason for me. The kindness of the NCL staff towards passengers, most especially towards children. I loved seeing the pictures where it appears the staff fell in love with your son. How cool was Captain Lars? I do not know who was smiling wider...your son...or the staff in all the pictures with him! Thanks again for sharing them. coka

drsb Posted November 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2009 Wow, it looks like you guys had a blast! Did you get off the ship at Samana or GSK? I could not tell. Did you really get escargot in the Japanese restaurant? And which place were you when you got the huge shrimp coctail? Your kids looked like they were haveing the time of their lives. How much was the bowling and was it easy to get lane time? When do they offer Wii and how do you sign up to play? Thanks for sharing your pics. I was just thinking this would be "another carribean cruise" but now I am truely excited!

eddeb Posted November 13, 2009 Author #10 Share Posted November 13, 2009 Thanks for your post Mary, Going to Alaska with your 5 children sounds like fun. We have been on Disney 4 times and loved it, but for the value Vs. the price, and Freeststyle Cruising, NCL has really gotten our attention. Looking forward to the Epic soon. Would recommend to you that you take your little ones to the buffet for BKFst. and Lunch, as it is very quick and has many things they will enjoy that are not available at the more formal Cagneys. Ours have short attention spans, so food ASAP works for us! As for Down Syndrome. The Doctor that discovered these children have an EXTRA chromosome name was Down. If it was up, they would be called Up Syndrome children. Our son lights up a room wherever he goes, has a memory of things many years ago that is scary sometimes. Photographic memory 100%. He is making all A's and B's at school, in the school play as a Munchkin (perfect). I could go on and on, but to us he has and extra chromosome, and has abilities that are profound. He got 94 to 100% on WII on the ship, and many other kids were not close, for example. You will have a great cruise I'm sure, take time to enjoy everything and you will have a great time. Relax and enjoy Freestyle. The staff on the Pearl were fantastic and very involved in making our cruise the best it could be. We salute them. Our review is coming soon, and I hope we can give you a few tips to help you on your new adventure! Good luck in Alaska, any questions just shoot. Would love to see some pics of your family. Take care, May your Seas Be Flat, and Your Tummies be fat.... Ed, Deb, Sean and Amy Moore :) Tampa Bay Florida
eddeb Posted November 19, 2009 Author #11 Share Posted November 19, 2009 Sorry it has taking so long to post our review. We are awaiting some more info from staff on NCL to help us with folks names, etc. Hope to hear back from them soon. As previously mentioned, we had a fantastic time on the Pearl. The few negative things were petty at best, the positive things much outweighed them. Any Questions before our (probably long) review soon, please ask. We will be happy to answer everyone. My son is in a school play this week, and I have been spending lots of time taking care of our special "Munchkin" in the Wizard of Oz Play in Land O Lakes Florida, just North of Tampa. We'll get it up shortly I promise, and hope it helps you have a great cruise! Take care, Edward, Debbie, Sean and Amy Moore Tampa Bay :)
disneydiane61 Posted November 19, 2009 #12 Share Posted November 19, 2009 Thanks for sharing your photos. Your family looked as though you were making memories to last forever. Did you have 4 people in an inside cabin? It appeared as though there were 3 beds below and one above. How did that work for you? Thanks again for sharing!!!!! disneydiane
