Mariner embarkation day wedding

Avery's mom

Getting married on embarkation day onboard ship. Is there a way to get onboard so that the groom does not see me before the ceremony? My mother is superstitious and wants to know. I know we are all supposed to board together, but has anyone else requested being boarded separately?

Hi Averys mom! I tried to post yesterday but this website was kinda messed up. Any way I wanted to tell you I am superstitious as well and did not want to see my FH before the wedding either. But thanks to all these wonderful reviews on here I have learned so much. I decided after reading these 2 posts I would avoid any added stress. (See the 2 posts below) I just decided to try my best to incorporate other wedding traditions. I am staying in a hotel the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids so I won't see my FH until I board the ship. I just figured my wedding would start then. I am wearing a white jogging suit and big glasses, maybe even a scarf...LOL but thats all I can do!

When I decided to get married on the cruise ship I searched "carnival cruise wedding reviews" and I have read every review on here. I have learned something from each one!

Tipping, timing, bringing a few things for the kids to do since they are going to be on the ship from 11a until after the wedding, giving someone access to your sign & sail card so they can get something to drink for non sailing guests...etc.

I hope this helps!
