Cayoooga Posted November 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2009 The second largest barrier reef in the world. It starts at the Yucatan Pennisula, south past Belize, and on to Honduras. The Salva Vida is awesome also!:D

GoldMargaritaMama Posted November 19, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2009 Go to http://www.mayakeyroatan.com/en/index.html previosly known as "Fins and Flippers". By far the most relaxing, beautiful excursion my hubby and I have ever taken. It is a 5 minute boat ride from the pier to this private island. It was amazing, maybe 20 people total on the island? There is unlimited snorkeling right from their pier and you will see some amazing coral and fish. ROMANTIC and relaxing. They have a bar/restaurant that serves amazing frozen rum drinks. They were the daily special and were a steal $5. I had their fish sandwich for lunch, it was fantastic! Better than most of the food on the Valor. My husband and I want to go back to Roatan for a 7 day vacation so we can snorkel and relax again at Maya Key. WHAT A DREAM!
Cayoooga Posted November 19, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2009 check out http://www.upachaya.com/snorkeltour/ For a tour on the northshore with a shipwreck and a 280 foot wall. Lots of pristine coral and aquatic life, but no crowds :D
