kiwicruiser Posted November 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2009 We're thinking of taking our first HAL cruise on board Westerdam to the Med (24 night Black Sea and Egypt) in September. Awesome itinerary. We have cruised Princess heaps of times but no experience of HAL. What is the likely age group? We're in our mid 50's and have been told that we will be out of place as most HAL passengers are much older. Is booking a suite over a verandah stateroom worth the extra cost? Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best location of a suite and verandah stateroom - best deck? port or starboard? midships,or aft? We like to be quay side when in port and we like a balcony that is private (ie not looked in on from above or alongside. We're from New Zealand with little experience of HAL over here so any comments greatly appreciated.
