We're considering this cruise ... for the Spring. Have never travelled on a river cruise or with Grand Circle...mostly on our own or on cruise ships. Would also love to hear from people who have travelled with them before. Glad I found this thread!!

We travelled with Grand Circle three times, twice on cruise ships and once on a river cruise.

The 1st trip was the Baltic, on NCL's Norwegian Dream. Loved the itinerary, not too wild about the ship. 2nd trip was an Asian itinerary, Singapore to Bejing, Regal Princess - great ship, great itinerary.

The river cruise was on the Danube, Budapest to Constanza, Romania. Great itinerary, good river boat, Adagio.

We find GCTto be very well organized, and very reasonable in cost.

Their Air Department has improved a great deal, and it is now much easier to arrange deviations and routings than it used to be.

Thanks for sharing your experience on Grand Circle. This year...we left it too late. Friends who we would have been travelling with just got off phone with GC and all their river cruises to France have been sold!! Will be watching for others. All of you...have a great time on your trip(s)!!

This past fall, we cruised the Seine on GCT river cruiser, the Bizet. Terrific. I want to move the ship and crew to every other river cruise so we could always travel with them. Service was 5 star and food excellent. Had great program directors and the head sets for shore tours work so well. I don't think you can find better value.

Have taken land trips with them and OAT also. Booked for 2011 on their river cruise from Moscow to St. Petersburg and will definitely do another GCT river cruise in 2012. Hard to choose from so many.

my wife & I are booked on this cruise with the same departure dates on the M/S Chardannay. This will be our 4th Rivercruise & we love each & evertyone of them. Recently we traveled from Normandy to Paris & that was great. we were on the M/S Bizet, the crew and the food were great. The bar has been set for the Chardannay. Will see you on board. Travel safe.

My wife and I are booked on the July 7 GCT cruise from Budapest, with a post-cruise trip to Transylvania. I would love to see more detailed information on the ports and excursions from those who have made this trip, and also to hear from our boat mates on this trip.

We did the Cairo/Nile GCT trip in Nov/Dec 2010 and loved it. It was our first GCT, and our tour guide, "Sam", was wonderful! She really made the trip for us.
