mapsmith Posted November 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2009 Does anyone have copies of something like daily "capers" for the Poesia? Think we're gonna have to wait on that since this is the first week of the Poesia in the Caribbean.
mtab Posted November 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2009 just returned and if you are hoping the "capers" will give you an insight as to activities, well, there really wasn't much. 2 dance lessons a day, some exercises in the pool area in the am, bingo (of course) and a show in the evening. Maybe one or two other events but not on port days.

greatamerguy Posted November 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2009 Here is a list of the activites on the Poesia the first sea day on our Nov 15-20 sailing. 2 Captain's Wecome Cocktails Fruit and Vegetable Carving Demonstration Emeralds and Watch Seminar Art Auction Amber Seminar Sushi Making Demonstration Morning Walk Soft Gym Stretching Aerobics Table Soccer Tournament Meeting for Tennis Players Mini Golf Tournament Double Ping Pong Tournament Shuffleboard Tournament Tennis Tournament Election of the Queen and King of the Sea Group Dances 2 Bingos Salsa Dance Lesson Arts and Crafts (Paper Flowers) Arts and Crafts (T-shirts painting) Cinema Trivia 2 Shows in the Carlo Felice Theatre - Legends of Atlantis Dance Musical Game Miss Poesia Election Hip Hop @ RnB with the Entertainment Team Plus live music in all the lounges, bars and public areas that included piano and double violin, harp and double classical guitars, Jazz artists, and more. There are probably several other events and entertainment that I have overlooked. There was also a Shiprocked convention charter on our cruise that included lots of heavy metal music either free or for a fee to attend. The aft end of deck 7 was reserved for most of their functions. The forward lounge on deck 13/14 was also reserved for private events. The Fontana dining room was open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fixed dining was offered in the 2 main dining rooms at 530pm and 8pm. The Shiprocked group were all assigned the late dining time, and the rest of the passengers were offered 530pm dining. This scheduling allowed for a very comfortable 2 hours for dinner. There was usually only one show in the main theatre each night because the Shiprocked group had their own private entertainment scheduled after their 8pm dining. There was also tea and late hour snacks like pizza and desserts available each night in the buffet each day, in addition to the breakfast, lunch and dinner schedule in the buffet. There were also self-serve ice cream machines available all afternoon everyday on both ends of deck 13 , and 2 specialty restaurants (Sushi bar and Italian) available each night for dinner.
