We have always wanted to do a b2b and are considering it when we go on the Navigator in February. We are interested to find out more information about doing a b2b....are the shows and menu the same? What do you do when everyone else gets off the ship? Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

We love B2B. Yes the food and entertainment as the same both weeks (crusies). You will be given a letter the nuight before the change around day. B2B cruisers meet in a specific area, you will then be accompanied through cusomters immigration etc, this may or may not mean leaving the ship, depending on the port and the authorities. You will then have the ship to yourselves for a while. It is nice as it is quiet. Many of the bars and facilities will not be open on that day.

back to backs are nice. try to book the same room so you dont have to move. you will have to get off the ship just briefly. my suggestion is enjoy dinner like you normally would in the main dinning room get what you want the first time dont leave it. then when second time comes around choose whether or not to order it again or try something new. Shows here is my advice and i think it is pretty good advice. On your first leg of your back to back go to the welcome aboard show and skip the farewell show. Then alternate each night which show you go to on the first leg. The second leg of the cruise go to the shows you choose to originally miss and then go tot the farewell. best way to enjoy it all

Not trying to be rude, but you said you wanted to learn more about B2Bs, so spend some time searching and reading and you will find everything you ever wanted to know. Search for "B2B" and you should get tons of hits.

By the way - they are awesome - highly recommend. Shows and food will generally be the same (they may change the guest performers, but ship shows will be the same). Menu will be the same. On the last day of the first cruise you get to relax and watch everyone be sad as their vacation ends knowing yours in just 1/2 way through. Then, you get the entire ship to your self for a while.

We have not done a b2b yet but would love it. The one thing I have seen mentioned, if you do have to leave the ship, you will be escorted off as a group, proceed thru checkin and receive your new Sea Pass Card and be escorted back on ahead of the new passengers. Should you have to change rooms, you will be given isntructions on what to do, in most cases, everything is repacked except clothes on the hangers and your room steward will move everything to the new room. It is best to let him know your staying on.

B2B's are wonderful - especially when the itinerary changes. Most likely you will have the same dining table - let the maitre'd know ASAP if you would like to change your location for the second leg. You have to have get new sea pass cards for the second leg in that your portfolio has to be cleared for the first and a new tab begun. Each ship and port seems to have a different procedure in handling the B2B - some are simple as "clocking out" with your old sea pass and then receiving a new card immediately without leaving the ship......others you need to disembark and have your new Set Sail pass to get your new card. Be sure to have a printed copy of your Set Sail Pass for both cruises!!!! As stated by others - instructions should be in your stateroom as to the ships requirements.....if you don't get one by the last evening - go to the Pursars desk and inquire.

Enjoy your B2B - they are fabulous!!!!

It really does depend on the ship and ports, whether or not you'll have to leave. I didn't have to leave...I was also the ONLY B2Ber on my cruise, which makes sense because it was the Majesty. Except for the 2nd cruise being one day shorter, everything was exactly the same. It was new to the other 2500 passengers. :)

It was great having the entire ship to myself. Someone above said that bars and facilities won't be open that DAY, but I think what they meant is they just won't be open during the turnaround time. Of course they'll be open once people start boarding...know what I mean? On mine, the last passengers left at 9:30 and the next group came on at 11. Between 9:30 and 11 I don't remember anything being open. I just roamed around, checked out my new cabin, and sat by the pool. Oh and told a lot of crew members that no, I DIDN'T have to leave because I was staying on for the next one. :)

Oh and they didn't need my 2nd set sail paper...I just met someone at the Library that morning and she handed me my new seapass card and told me to have fun. (Your 1st cruise account will be closed and a new one started for you.)

Do it! I can't wait to be able to do two 7-day cruises B2B, esp. if they change itineraries. MUCH more interesting.

Maybe it was just my first experience, or you people are only talking about the Production Shows, but I found that the only shows that were the same on my B2B(they were 16 days each) were the 3 Production Shows and as previously stated the first and last night shows.

I did find that that they treated the B2B people differently on each cruise. One was a lucheon and was was a cocktail party. I was not invited to that one since I was getting off the ship.

Just did a b2b on the Splendour out of Venice. Absolutely painless. New Sea Pass cards were delivered the last night. No meeting anywhere, no Customs anything. Swiped off to sightsee Venice with old card, swiped back on with new. One note is you can buy liquor on board and it does get delivered at end of first leg.
