Fascination to Freeport/Nassau w/ 3 kids in Feb.

My husband and I are surprising our 3 daughters w/ a cruise to Freeport and Nassau on the Fascination in February 2010. This will be our 2nd time on the Fascination and feel it will be a good fit for the kids. It will be their first curise. I have several questions.

 

1) I've read they're making some improvements to the ship in Jan. Any info?

 

2) We have connecting cabins (ocean view- Empress deck) and I'm wondering how much privacy there is?

 

3) I've read some not so impressive reviews about the youth programs. Our oldest is 14 and I'm worried she won't have much to do. Any feedback?

 

4) Are there any must do activities on either of the islands?
