CassieG2002 Posted January 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2005 How far away from where the ship docks are the loading docks for the Ferry to St. John? Thanks Cassie
njoyndride Posted January 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2005 Cassie - The ferry is about a 5 minute cab ride from the cruiseship pier. The St. John ferry boards directly across from the open air market in Charlotte Amalie NOT from the ferry terminal which is on the other end of town. Please double check with one of the cab drivers, they know exactly where you need to go just in case something has changed in the past few months. Just an FYI they'll want to take you to Red Hook and try to convince you it's the better way to go. If you have your heart set on Charlotte Amalie to St. John let them know up front and be firm. They get a bigger fare going to Red Hook which is their motivaton, it's only $3pp to Charlotte Amalie.
