miked998 Posted November 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2009 We will be a group of six and one in the group will not snorkel because they do not swim but would like to tag along to watch and then spend some time on a beach. Which excursion that Carnival offers would be the best fit? Goff's Caye Snorkeling Sergeant's Cay Snorkel Adventure Barrier Reef Snorkel at Turneffe with Beach Break I need to know when they drop you off for the beach portion if any swimming is required. Floracruise Posted November 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2009 We have the same question! We booked an excursion (from a shore operator, not Carnival) to go to Altun Ha and the Baboon Sanctuary, but I am re-thinking whether we should do a snorkel tour instead, and which one if so. Hopefully someone can advise!
GayleR Posted November 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2009 I'm not sure why, but this board and the Roatan board don't have the activity as others do. We are sailing in 3 weeks and I haven't decided what to do at these 2 ports. I sure hope someone answers your questions....
Will in sunny FL Posted November 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2009 In Belize it is hard to beat the snorkeling trip done by Coarl Breeze & the local lunch on Caye Caulker. You inquire about this trip from http://www.coralbreeze.com On Roatan we prefer the snorkeling ships tour to Tayabanna Beach. Belize offers some great snorkeling ! houseflipper48 Posted November 28, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2009 It's not a Carnival excursion, however we used Eco Tours last January. We booked the tour right at the pier, they took us snorkling and then they took us to Bannister Island. We had a great time and are booking the same tour this January. RN1986 Posted November 30, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2009 A couple of years ago we did the Carnival excursion to Goeffs Key. They dropped me off at the beach, then took the others snorkling and tey returned to the beach. Very beautiful, no chairs etc to sit on. Pretty remote with only about 5 palm trees. We are going in 3 weeks again and I am thinking of the tour to Bannister Island with Coral Breezes this time.
Snorkel2Much Posted December 1, 2009 #7 Share Posted December 1, 2009 If it tips your decision, the snorkeling at Goff's was fantastic. :)
