Ft. Lauderdale - pre cruise hotel

We will be staying at the Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale North (2301 SW 12th Ave.). Is there a store within walking distance from the hotel where you can buy wine?

 

Winn-Dixie is a few blocks east on State rd 84.

We just got back from our Carnival Miracle cruise and stayed at the Westin Ft Lauderdale Beach Resort. We got it for approx $75 through both Hotwire and Priceline. There aren't enough good words to describe this hotel.

There were tons of restaurants, as well as a CVS and a liquor store within walking distance.

We had 5 rooms and all of us were upgraded to an ocean view.

It is a little further from both the airport and the pier than the 17th street hotels, but we used a local shuttle service for transportation to/from the airport, as well as the pier. It was $7.00pp to or from the airport and $6.00 pp to/from the pier.

What shuttle service did you use, I'm flying down tomorrow and staying at the Westin, there are 4 of us and just afraid we won't fit with our luggage in a cab.

Hey, has anyone stayed at, or have knowledge of, the Sea Club Resort on N. Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd.? It seems OK, but I'm only dealing with pictures :rolleyes:. Bookit dot com has it at a good rate for Jan.

I was out of town yesterday. Sorry also that I can't totally answer your question. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and they ahve their own van shuttle. After the cruise, there are a ton of vans waiting around to load you up!
