Dolphin Swim by Vallarta Adventures in Puerto Vallarta

I'm already booked to do it, but I have a few questions. I've heard it's a 20 minute cab ride from the marina. How much should I reasonably pay each way? Is it customary to tip the trainers? Are there any decent restaurants in the area or should I eat downtown or on the ship? Is there a secure area to put my stuff?

Hi :)

Neuvo is about 20 mins. and depending on the cab about $18 to $25 US. I suggest you walk out the main road and catch a yellow taxi cab there as the white ones outside of the dock and Federal Zone cabs and are pricier due to the fees they have to pay.

It is customary to tip the guides/trainers/etc. on tours.

There are not any great restaurants in the close proximity-- I would eat before or after on or downtown. Nuevo is very spread out.

There is a great restaurant behind the OXXO- across from Soriana Grocery store called La Abuela- it has Mexican food and is reasonable.

I like the platter for two with arrachera, chorizo, queso fundido, etc.

Have fun!
