rlr316 Posted December 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Hi, My husband and I will be in New Orleans for a few days after our early Dec. cruise and would like to see Longvue House and Gardens, the lights in City Park and the Art Museum. Is there are reasonable way to do this on public transit or do we need to do a commercial tour? We will be staying near Poydras and Carondelet streets. Also, can we get from the airport to the French Quarter via public transportation? Thanks for your help.
Traveler353 Posted December 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Information on the bus from the airport. http://www.airportgrounddirectory.com/msypt.html Also the airport limo, taxi and car rentals are available from the airport. Once you get in town the local bus system, trolley/streetcars can get you just about anwhere.
Sargent_Schultz Posted December 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2009 Traveling with luggage on public transporation can be challenging to say the least. There is a street car spur that will get you to City Park. Here is the Public Transit site: http://www.norta.com/ There are visitor passes available that you might be interested in.
