DCT61 Posted April 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2004 RE: The Tower on INFINITY decks 6 and 7. I read somewhere this room was used as a teen disco...is this true? INFINITY: 6/6/
Jacqueline Posted April 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2004 On the Connie the Tower is the teen meeting area= but it is up on say, decks 10/11. I am trying to figure out why it would be on 6/7 on the Infinity- this doesnt sound right. The kids stuff on every ship I have ever been on has been on high decks away from everyone ! CruisingChick Posted April 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2004 I would hope the Tower is NOT a Teen Meeting place on Infinity. Our cabin is on the Vista Deck close to where the Tower is located. DCT61 Posted April 13, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 13, 2004 Mine is too Anne Maria...right across the hall from it. On one of the "ships tours" websites, there is a picture of the room and it looks like a library. I just wanted to make sure. INFINITY: 6/6/
CruisingChick Posted April 13, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2004 DCT61, Too bad we're not on the same cruise, we would have been neighbors!!! Library, sounds good. On the Millennium that space is used for Notes and while during the day there are teens in there listening to music, it's quiet and it's closed at night. BDA Posted April 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Before booking our room on Infinity (May 30) I attempted to find out what the tower actually was. I called Celebrity a number of times and never really received an eduacted, informative answer. If you search Google for pictures of the Tower on the Infinity, it appears to be a two story card/game room. It doesn't look like a teen room. I am very interested in what the Tower is because our room on the Vista deck is directly across the hall from it.
jsea Posted April 14, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2004 The Tower is not located in the same place on all M Class ships, and, oddly enough, does not serve the same purpose on all ships either. In my opinion, Infinity has the worst set-up (of a really minor issue). On Infinity, Notes (the music listening room) is located on deck 11 just aft of Constellation observation lounge / discotheque on the port side. Notes on Infinty, deck 11 Click here for full-size image. On Summit and Constellation, this is The Tower, a.k.a. the teen lounge/disco. Infinity, while having a room called "The Tower," does not actually have a teen lounge. On Millennium this glassed-in area is The Conservatory. Infinity's The Tower, as another posted mentioned, is just a two-story card room with tables. No worries about noise. BDA Posted April 14, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Assuming that the Tower on the Infinity is only used as a card/game room, where do the teens gather and do activities on this ship? jsea Posted April 14, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2004 I don't know for sure, but in the evenings I often saw the children's group meeting in the café on deck 10. So, I guess wherever there was a room available that would not disturb others.
