TANZYRAGWEED Posted December 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2009 I recently had one of our cruise members cancel. I had a lengthy talk with Carnival. The kept stressing that with early saver there are no changes. You had better call carnival ASAP, but it is my understanding there aren't a lot of options with early saver. As far as insurance they way the explained it to me, it's like car insurance, you file a claim after the fact. If you don't mind me asking, any way at all you can go, what can't you go? Ken076 Posted December 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2009 Friends of ours have a room booked for 2 people. 1 can no longer go, they booked early saver, and did buy insurance.... 3 ?'s: 1)What is the best way to cancel the one person? 2)What if we can find someone to take their place? With ES you can't substitute another cruiser on the booking. 3)Will the travel insurance cover any of this? If the person is cancelling for a reason covered in their Policy, then they can get reimbursed for non-refundable charges. If the remaining person has Trip Insurance, most Policies will reimburse for the single supplement. Thanks! ken
