I was just reading another post about booking yourself or through a TA and thought I would ask if anyone uses AAA for booking a cruise. I used them for our trip to Hawaii and we were very pleased. This is a first time for us to cruise and just thought I would ask if anyone else has used or if not why?

I've never used AAA simply because I can almost always get travel cheaper through our travel agent. I find a cruise whose itinerary I like, then I find the cheapest price I can find on a discount cruise website, and ask our travel agent if she can match that price. She always has, many times has bettered it.

Believe it depends on the agent at aaa. We were most unimpressed with the office in La Mesa, California when we booked 6 cabins through them. Will not use them again for cruises. Perhaps just luck of the draw....

I almost used them for our upcoming Alaska cruise but found a much better deal through an online travel agency.

Everything was wonderful until I paid the HAL bill. Then the TA honeymoon was over. Consider going direct then you will be in control.

Have used AAA for every one of our cruises - our agent is great.
