Foster's Grocery from Cemetery Beach?

Does anyone know how far Foster's grocery store is from Cemetery Beach? And is it within walking distance? Also anyone familiar with the local buses, and what number bus to take to Cemetery Beach from the pier?

Across the square from the bus station is a good food market - Fort Street Market.

 

At the bus depot, it is better to just tell them where you want to go and they will point out the right "bus".

 

There is only one bus line coming back, so you don't have to worry about that.

Alas, things are changing. The Fort Street Market is no more. The bus depot moved to a lot just north of the Waterfront Centre building, a short walk north from the cruise ship terminals. Unfortunately this means there is no easy place to pick up snacks in central George Town before hopping a bus to the beach.

 

Fosters Food Fair has a grocery within about a quarter mile of Cemetery Beach. Walk back out to the road from the beach and turn left.

Exit the terminal (doesn't matter which one) and turn north (the sea will be on your left). Look for the yellow Waterfront Centre building on the inland side of the road. The bus depot is in the vacant lot immediately past the Waterfront Centre. The lot is set back a little bit from the roadway.

 

Any of the West Bay (WB) buses will drive right past Cemetery Beach.
