Is there a way to tell, Bed by Balcony or Bath?

Has anyone figured out a system that lets you figure out if the bed is by the balcony or the bath. Checked the cabin information post and nothing is posted for our cabin. #11324. I even tried putting in the floor above or below us with the same Cabin Catagory. My hubby was just trying to find out. It doesn't seem to go by cabin catagory.

I can not answer your question but I am thrilled that someone besides me actually wonders about this too:o I much prefer to have the bed by the bathroom and the couch by the balcony, much easier to go in and out especially when 2 people are passing by each other.

Anyone with an answer?

Not sure if there is any way to tell, but...

we were on the inaugural 12/5 cruise. We had room 9132 outside balcony, and had a third person in the room, and the beds were by the bathroom. My parents were next to us, room 9130 outside, no balcony, and their bed was by the window. If I had to guess, rooms that can accomodate a third person may have the beds by the bathroom since the folddown bed might prevent having the bed by the balcony. I only am guessing at this, but it is possible. The room definitely is easier to navigate it the beds are by the balcony. Hope this helps.

We have that room for the 1/2 sailing. What did you think of it? Was there any wind issues being the first balcony? Glad to hear the bed is by the bathroom, i think it's nicer having the sitting area extend to the balcony.

we were in 9288 and the bed was by the bathroom...for the third person the couch just pulls out a little...not like a bed just out from the wall a little to make the couch part that you sit on a little bigger...first time in ages we did a triple but it wasn't too bad...there was plenty of storage for 3 women who travel with a lot of stuff plus we all get along

we prefer the bed by the balcony so we can separate them and put the head of the bed against the sliding glass doors...it makes for a little more room...I was real surprised with the bed by the bathroom floor plan

I do think it may have something to do with whether the cabin can accommodate 3 because in other cabins where the bed was by the window I noticed that the couch was more like a love seat...the only place (not to say I saw every cabin type) I saw beds coming out of the wall was in the Family Suites

We have been in cabins that accommodate 3 and 4 passengers (our kids) and the bed has always been by the balcony and as another poster commented when the couch gets pulled out it is not as big as the actual bed. Is this only for the Oasis that they have this kind of set up (bed by bath). In the one and only JS that we were in the bed WAS by the bath.

We did not spend a lot of time out on the balcony - too many things to do around the ship. The only time there was a problem was when we were at sea and you first open the door. Things had a tendency to blow around inside. Once the door was open, though, there was no problem. Being the first balcony on the floor was nice, with absolutely no issues with wind otherwise. We were able to look up and see the captain looking back towards the ship and he waived to us. It was a great room, and I think you will like it. Just start ealier than usual to go to windjammer or the MDR, it's a long walk. Also, being in the front of the ship, we usually arrived in port about 20 minures earlier than people at the rear of the ship lol. I lost $10 in casino chips in the room, so if you find them, feel free to use them. I don't usually have time to get on the computer, so if you respond, I may not see your question. Please don't think I am ignoring you. Have a wonderful cruise!

I was a 2 day sailing on the Oasis, and we had a balcony on the 9th deck. There were three of us but I think it was a quad balcony, since when the couch was made up it was big enough for two. We had bed by the bathroom, and it did make it a bit tight to get to the balcony when the sofa bed was made up.

The Solstice class have the same kinds of cabins, where the wall jogs out, and they alternate every other room with having the bed by balcony or bathroom. I have now experinced both, and they each have advantages. It is true that if the bed is by the bathroom it is better for getting in and out of the room, but I found it was much tighter for getting in and out of the closet. Overall, I can't even say which I preferred, since they each had good and bad points.

I don't think there is any way to know which cabins are which layouts, other than from info on boards like this from people who have stayed in particular cabins.
