Shopping in both Phillipsburg and Marigot, do I need to do a tour?

I would like to see both sides of the Island, and I know that it is rather easy to get to Phillipsburg on our own via water taxi, but what about Marigot? Would my daughter and I be better taking a tour from Celebrity to see both sides of the Island?

No need for a tour unless that's what you would want.

 

I would suggest just taking a taxi from the Cruise Facility to Marigot for shopping, lunching, whatever (note that Marigot can be quite expensive), then a taxi back to Philipsburg for shopping or lunching there.

 

They will probably drop you at the Court House (ask) which is the center of shopping on Front Street, the best in the Caribbean in our opinion.

 

Take the water taxi back to the ship for the great photo opportunity.
