Mazatlan Frank's city and Riu Emerald Bay -- anyone been there?

Was just checking out Mazatlan Frank's site and came across the brand new (opened summer '09) tour with Riu Emerald Bay all-inclusive. This looks like something we might like to try - a laid back day on the beach with food and drinks all included. Anyone been there yet????

Well, search wasnt' working for me before, but it is now...I see a few have been there and enjoyed it. Anyone else have any comments? Thanks!

we took this pic 02/09, while under construction. it should be very nice at the new giant RUI in Mazatlan, considering that most all resorts in Mazatlan are not anywhere near new nor giant. It is also far north, 30+ minutes drive from the cruise port, and it's rural location is distant from urban rif raff
