Salons in Key West, Grand Cayman, Ochos Rios, Cozumel?

A friend and I want to get our hair done for formal night, but we can't make ourselves pay the $70+ that I've been hearing about it costing on the ship. I'm not sure which port days are formal nights and time wise maybe it won't work out, but has anyone had their hair done for formal night in any of these ports? Any recommendations? My friend has pretty short hair, so maybe it would be cheaper for her since she might just want a blowout rather than an up-do.

I personally wouldn't do it. You don't know what kind of salon you are going into, etc. I have paid a couple of times on the ship - it was worth it but also a few times have just done it myself to save money.
