Shopping in ST Thomas

We have a couple hours to shop while in ST Thomas before we sight see and hit the beach. I am wondering what kind of shopping there is. Is it locally made knick knacks like a flea market or are there good deals on other things?

 

I'm not a jewelery person. And not high matenince either so dont need a shop with real purses. I mean I have no issues buying real if the price is right if not any ole cute purse knock off or not works for me. I just dont care to be taken. Anything to watch out for either?

There is so much shopping in St. Thomas it is crazy! There is everything from fine jewelry, silver jewelry, purses, Tshirts, basic souviners of every kind, food products, liquor and so much more!

how about electronics??? My son really wants to buy himself a ipod touch would something like this be found any cheaper there or should he just buy it before we go?

hlb76 - There are only a couple electronics stores: generally you don't find deals on ipods, game systems, cell phones, computer related items. You will likely find the same or similar price on ipod... but no sales tax here.

I did not think we would find much better deal than no tax. Ipods never go on sale really. I figured it was worth a try to ask. I really dont know whyu he needs one other than to be cool. He is 14 and has about 2 mp3 players that work well and can do cool things but they are a far cry from a ipod touch!
