Kid's Mexican Riviera or Caribbean -- April

We are debating between early April cruise to Mexican Riviera or Caribbean. Our boys 9 & 12 and my wife love the warm water & beach activities. We have been on several Caribbean cruises, but are looking for different destination. However, we are afraid the water & weather may not be up to our exceptions if we choose the Mexican itinerary. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

in all honesty, we have talked to many passengers that try the MR as something new from the Caribbean, and they are disappointed. Overall, the Caribbean is a better area to cruise, with the warm clear water far superior. I'm not sure we ever talked to a passenger that tried the MR as a change from the Caribbean, and like the MR better. That said, we live in San Diego and love the convenient MR cruising
