Altun Ha Ruins with baby?

Has anyone done this tour with a baby? I'll have a 15 month old on our upcoming trip and trying to figure out excursions. I was wondering how little kids held up on it....am I crazy for thinking of doing this one?

Thanks!

As far as visiting the site itself, I would think that an excursion to Altun Ha would be one of the better things you could do with a 15 month old. The biggest problem is the ride to the site can be a little long (how does your child handle long car trips?) and unless you go with a private excursion chances are you will be on a bus that doesn't have seat belts to secure your child's car seat.

We just did the ruins with our 2 year old because cave tubing was closed the day we were in port. We were on an organized tour but be warned- not only do the buses not have seatbelts, neither do the vans. It is a very long ride (hour and a half each way) on very bumpy winding roads. If I had a do over, I would have stayed on the ship.
