gidgetglam Posted December 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2009 We are flying in 2.5 days before our cruise departure and Staying at the Best Western St Christopher on Magazine & Canal. I found an airport-downtown shuttle bus operated by the public transit system for less than $2pp. However, after speaking with a friend, she said that this was not a wise idea and we ought to just take a cab. She said that carrying suitcases on public transit would make us prime targets for a mugging. What is the best way to get from the airport to the French Quarter?
jev2002 Posted December 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2009 Taking the bus may be the cheapest way, but it looks like you would have to actually take 2 or 3 buses, which dragging luggage may be a problem. Easiest way would to take a cab, I think prices are about 33 dollars, or the New Orleans shuttle bus, which was 20 dollars one way, or 38 dollars round trip.
