Jeans or Shorts for ziplining?

Hi!

We leave in one week for our Island Princess Panama Canal cruise from Acapulco to Fort Lauderdale. We are going ziplining in Costa Rica with the Adventure Park Hotel Vista Golfo. It involves a 30 min horseback ride to the start point, then 25 ziplines over 11 waterfalls.

My husband and I are fairly athletic and have done a canopy tour / ziplining in Dominica before where we wore shorts. However, friends traveling with us are concerned about bringing jeans to wear as it is recommended with the horseback riding. We figured the jeans/pants would be awfully hot and muggy with the water involved.

Does anyone have any experience with this particular company and excursion, and whether jeans/pants necessary or preferred?

Thanks,

Emily76
