Bahama_Bound Posted January 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2010 We booked the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Miami, pre-cruise for Jan 7. We're flying into FLL at 1:30 and SAS is taking us straight to the hotel. What is there to do in the area? I've heard of the River Walkway and Bayside Market aren't far. Any recomendations??? Thanks!!!
asylum575 Posted January 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2010 I think Mary Brickell Village is closeby. Bayside is a bit of a walk, but doable. Overall the hotel is nice. We found the staff very nice. Comfy bed. Alot here on CC get it on Priceline at a great price which makes it a good choice for a precruis stay. The area isn't good to stay any more than that. eandj Posted January 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2010 If you have never been to Miami and have so much time, take a cab to the South Beach area. Lots to see and do and you will get authentic Miami vibe! Downtown Miami is like any other large city.
NJLVW Posted January 1, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2010 There is a metro mover that will take you within a block or so of the Bayside. Go right through the hotel. Simple & easy. Hotel is great. We also walked around the area. We found a lot to do an see. Stayed there several times and will be there again in a few weeks pre cruise. Enjoy..
