Purchasing a soda package on Royal

Do you still have to carry a designated cup around to get the soda package? Have not been for a few years but seem to remember that was a pain. Would buy it if they just give you a card to swipe. Anyone been lately and know the answer. Thanks.

Just back from RCCL granduer.. they put a sticker on my kids sign and sail card

They just walked up to any bar and they gave them a glass of soda...

 

If you had the drink cup with you they would just refill that, but we found it a pain to drag around.

We have never had to carry the logo mug with us to get soda with the soda package. It is the sticker on your sea pass that shows you have purchased the package. If you just present the mug, the bartender/server may or may not accept it; generally, they'll want to see your sea pass as well. You should have no problem just presenting your sea pass to get a soda.
