cw_cw_cw Posted January 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Hi We have just booked to do the cruise: Brilliance of the Seas, Dubia to Barcelona via Suez Canal, 19th April 2010 I wondered if there were any other guys due on board? We have done a few RCI cruises before - the latest was Baltimore to Tampa Nov 09 and had a fantastic Friends of Dorothy group. We are from Devon in the UK and very much looking forward to our time onboard. Chris & Andy
JonAlone Posted January 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2010 sorry to feel like I am spoiling it for you, but I found Brilliance of Seas to be the most boring ship afloat! Not on a par with the Explorer Class ships and Freedom class. The only entertainment was ballroom dancing and the theatre shows were pre-dinner for late sitting dining 10 nights out of the 12. The only alternative was the same 2 deluded passneger karaoki queens that went from bar to bar to assault our eardrums. If you can change ships to the larger vessels, I would try to do so asap. cw_cw_cw Posted January 4, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted January 4, 2010 Thanks for the response - my decision making process for a cruise is based on: itinerary-price-value for money initially. Having my last cruise on the Vision class and having been on Navigator twice before and (a bit true to life) size isn't everything. I note your other observations and these could be true to any RCI ship not just Brilliance and I prefer the second seating for dinner whatever ship, it gives you time to get dolled up, go to show, have a drink and relax a bit if you have been on shore. The post was to gauge who was onboard - we will have a good cruise whatever.
