srm2141 Posted January 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2010 I have booked the Dolphin swim in Puerto Vallarta via Carnival off the Splendor for myself and my 4 children. The cruise says that children must be at least 5 years old. No mention of height requirement. I see on the websites for independent tour operators that children must be a minimum of 4 feet 5 inches. My two younger children ages 5 and 8 are not yet 4'5". Has anyone had experience with this? Will they be allowed to participate?
crAZytwinmomma Posted August 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2010 We are in a "similar boat." (pun intended) What did you find? We are also going on the Carnival Splendor and want our girls to experience the "signature swim" with the dolphins. My girls are 5 years old and really great swimmers. They do not meet the height requirement posted on our carnival site that explains the excursion. However, on the actual website there is no height requirement - just the age requirement. We called and talked to Carnival - they said they could not guarantee our children would be allowed to participate even if we booked it through them. We called the place directly and they said they only have an age requirement. They said since we were coming from a cruise ship they couldn't book it. Hope you found a way to make it work for you.
