New Dock question???

Can anyone, who has been to the new dock, tell me how far is it to get to Victor Bodden's to see the monkey and iguanas? Is it a walkable distance or do you need to get a cab. We are looking at reserving a tour from Rony's but not sure? If we can see the island on our own or is it safer to hire a escort for Roatan. Please and information will be very helpful. 28 days and counting down:D.

You need a cab. It seemed like 10-15 min driving and almost all of it was uphill on winding roads with no other tourists in sight. Make sure you barter with the cabbies as they tend to inflate the prices.

We used Diana and Cynthia last time we were there and had a GREAT tour. I am taking a group again this year in March and we are booked with them again. I priced both Cynthia and Victor Bodden and Cynthia seem to be cheaper. Hope this helps.. ;)
