Does the residency discount apply to everyone in the cabin/booking, or just the person from that state?

 

The cruise I'm looking at currently has a discount for Minnesota residency. However, the person I will be going on the cruise with lives in a different state. Will the discount only apply to me, or both of us since we are sharing a cabin?

the "normal" rule is that only one in the cabin needs qualify but you should check with your TA or cruise line to make sure.

The discount applies to both people, or at least it does on Royal Caribbean. We just had a situation like that on my upcoming cruise - one person is a resident but both get the discount! Yay!

The cruise line's policy is the same as for senior rates..at least 1 passenger in each cabin must show proof of residency.
