Another vote for if cave tubing is closed- go back to the ship

We were booked for cave tubing but it was closed. They offered us Altun Ha and the baboons instead, which we did. It was a good two hours in the car each way, and unless you are extremely interested in monkeys or ruins I found it to be not worth it. I got bitten by some kind of jungle ants on my feet at the baboon sanctuary and the bites swelled up to huge knots, the driving part was your pretty typical island scenery so not much special there. All in all, the guides tried to make a day out of it for us, but it just isn't something I ever need to do again.
