What is that place with the de-barbed stingrays?

I read about a month ago about some place in Nassau where we could take the kids to play in the water and with the stingrays. Our kids are 2, 5 & 7 and wanted to do something that would be fun and safe for little ones.....

We were thinking of going to Blue Lagoon but I didn't know they had stingrays, everything I read mentioned just dolphins and sea lions?

they have a pen with stingrays that you can get in and swim with them...at least they used to have that.

I believe Blackbeard's Cay also has an area where you can swim with the stingrays. They list the excursion on RCCL for $27 to go to the island and swim with the rays for the afternoon.

We went to Blackbeard's Cay with our kids - they loved the stingray area because the water was calm and wasn't over their heads.

Blue Lagoon no longer has stingrays, the pen was destroyed several years ago in a hurricane. They are rebuilding, and may have them again, but for now, only Blackbeards Cay has stingrays. They are de-barbed.In the near future, Pearl Island will be reopening as well. They had penned stingrays as well. Not sure when they will reopen or if the stingrays are still there. I'll keep you posted when I hear anything new

its hard to find something to do with such small kids...Im not a big proponent of de barbing stingrays, but I want the kids to experience something different without being too afraid. They are only 2, 5 & 7!
