DonMar Posted January 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Excactly where do Carnival ships anchor in Belize. Where on shore are you taken? We have tried to look at Belize on Google Earth and can't find any landmarks we have read about in other posts. The ships anchor quite a distance from Belize City. The tender ride is about 20 minutes. When we where in Belize the tender brought us to "Tourism Village" in Belize City. If you use Google Earth or Google Maps - find Belize City. From there look for a section of the city that sticks out a bit into the sea. It is just to the north east of the river/canal opening. I tried to find the coordinates, but the best I could do is this link - http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=17.495408,88.180029&z=15&t=h&hl=en I hope this works. Toyz711 Posted January 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2010 all the ship anchor about 15 to 20 mins tender ride out. away from the coral reef. you take the tender to a tourist area in belize city. it's a tourist area that is just for cruise ship passengers. if you go to google.com and click on maps. put in belize, then keep working on it until you get a close-up of the belize city. you can see a area called "tourism village", that's where the tenders drop you off. forwardcabin Posted January 8, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted January 8, 2010 Found it! Thanks for the pointers--they helped tremendously. Since this is our first time going to Belize, we just wanted to have an overall perspective of the relative location. We have read with interest all the posts, both pro and con, about this port of call and all it has to offer. Bon Voyage!
