Condition of Grand Princess

Princess is offering some great rates on a 14 day Southern Caribbean cruise on the Grand Princess. Has anybody sailed on the Grand recently and if so, could you offer your opinion on what shape the ship is in?

Thanks

Just got off the Xmas & New Year cruise on Monday and considering her age she is is pretty good knick:), the staff, food and entertainment were good. Marty n Moss the CD was good, had a good repore with his staff and the passengers and was seen about the ship a lot of the time.

We've spent 33 days on the Grand Princess this past Nov. and Dec. 2009, and it was most enjoyable, the food and the ship's condition was just great!

Grand is fine! Grab the good rates!

I was on the Grand 12 of xlixer's 33 nights (hi Homer) and didn't notice any problems. It does not have the International Cafe yet but you can still get coffe and pastries in the Atrium at (I think) the Promonaude bar. Staff was great and food was fine.

Just back from the 14 day Caribbean Collection voyage over Christmas/New Year's and had no issues. If you want to nitpick you will find things to complain about. Sure, there may be a spot or two of rust in places on the outside (its SALTWATER!) and there will be some wear and tear here and there, but nothing that is disfunctional or inoperative that I saw. If you want things perfect, try heaven. The only issue that semed to pop up is the crew was generally either very early in their contract or almost finished. While I did not experience any indifference, others in the Cruise Critic group said they did. We did have one of the best cabin stewards ever, and our traditional dining servers were outstanding.
