jcastro1202 Posted January 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2010 My fiance and I will be on the Solstice for the 3/21 sailing of the Eastern Caribbean. Our first stop is San Juan and we will be there from 2pm - 10pm. Does anyone know if all of the businesses remain open later to accommodate these schedules? I was in San Juan years ago and I didn't even get to tour the fort because the boat that I was arrived at 5pm. I would hate to miss it again. Anyone have any advice on what I should do first to avoid closures?
JRarey Posted January 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2010 Anyone have any advice on what I should do first to avoid closures? If you want to see one or both of the forts you should do that first. You will dock right in Old San Juan and you can walk, take the trolley, or get a taxi. Walking is maybe 20 minutes, but almost all uphill going to either fort. Getting in at 2 will still give you at least 3 hrs for that. Most all regular businesses (shopping, restaurants, bars) will be open until you leave. Old San Juan is a great place and there is plenty to do. Enjoy your honeymoon!
