Slot Tournaments on board

How do they work? I have never been in a slot tournament and have no idea how they determine winners, etc.

 

All I know is I want to try it and it costs $20 to enter, lol

 

How is 'score' kept?

How long do they last?

What are some common Carnival slot tournament prizes?

Sorry, I should have searched before I asked. Seems the same question was asked recently and I got good info from there. Again... sorry! No need to reply. :(

They charge 20-25 per person. They rope off a bank of slot machines usually 25 centers. Everyone get a machine and all you do is sit down and play slots. At the end of the time alloted, whoever has the most credits on the slot machines win. Pretty easy

We entered one on the splendor, it's alot of fun. They gave tee shirts out to some of the top points

Because we are platinum we get a free entry to the slot tourny. You just sit at the machine and hit the button for five minutes. The top five point getters get into the finals. Then there is a drawing for the sixth spot from all the other players. Then you do it again. The winner gets $500.00 the others get t-shirts, hats and stuff. I was in the finals once, came in last and got a free fancy drink. It was better to come in last than second. It was fun but I would never throw away $20.00 for 5 minutes.
